The Best From All Seasons - by SWS
Winter finally has arrived
Although much later than its customary date
Adorned with its finest trademark
A breathtaking fresh snow fall
A fellow coffee shop regular
Must have read my mind
When he whispered into my ear:
"Wisconsin at its best"
That sparked other occasions
When I have also used a similar expression
Like once again Wisconsin
On a heart-warming sunny spring day
But the best from all seasons rolls
Into one for me when I see children
From all backgrounds frolic together
In perfect harmony
What happens to this spirit
When they spring into adulthood?
Does it get lost forever?
Or like a delectable curry sauce
Will it be ready
To warm up humanity’s palate
After a long simmering period?
